The Dutch Design Fashion and Architecture (DutchDFA) programme aims to strengthen and consolidate the international position of the most prominent sectors of the Dutch creative industries – design, fashion and architecture – through a joined-up approach.
The DutchDFA programme is a four-year strategic programme in a selection of focus countries that relates to topical issues and local demands. The aim is to build long-lasting international partnerships while addressing issues facing today’s world through design.

Dutch design, fashion and architecture have in recent years received wide international acclaim, while a range of Dutch designers have independently made the leap to international markets. This has resulted in the current international reputation of Dutch design. The Dutch government and organisations in the design sector have developed various initiatives to raise further international awareness of Dutch design, fashion and architecture. The rapid increase of these activities now requires cohesion and prioritising, while the complexity of operating at an international level needs common frameworks and approaches. The DutchDFA programme aims to facilitate and help establish this more joined-up approach.
