Born in Tianjin in 1942, he graduated from China Conservatory of Music in 1966. In 1982 he visited France, and studied in Paris Opera and The University of Paris-Sorbonne (Paris IV).

   1942年生于中国天津，1966年毕业于中国音乐学院。1982年赴法，曾在巴黎歌剧院及巴黎第四大学进修。

He served as solo singer and lecturer in Tianjin Song and Dance Theatre. He has lived in Paris for 28 years, and organized Yellow River Art Ensemble and acted as its Director.
 
   曾在天津歌舞剧院任独唱演员及教师。旅居巴黎28年，曾组建黄河艺术团并担任团长。

He has cooperated with more than a dozen Chinese and overseas modern music composers including Qu Xiaoyu, Chen Qigang, Mo Wuping, Guo Wenjing, Tan Dun and others, and performed their music works and opera song works. The orchestras he has worked with in cooperation include French Ensemble “2E2M”, “ALEF” modern orchestra, “International modern Orchestra”, along with “New Music Ensemble” of the Netherlands as well as British and American orchestras.

   和瞿小於、陈其纲、莫五平、郭文景、谭盾等十数位中外现代音乐作曲家合作，并演唱他们的音乐作品及歌剧作品。合作的乐团除法国的“2E2M” 、“ALEF”现代乐团，“国际现代乐团”外尚有荷兰的“新音乐团”及英美乐团。

He cooperated with Professor “Picard”, music professor of Paris University, and “XIII-21 Baroque Orchestra”, collected and performed Chinese classical music works during the Baroque Period, including Wu Li, Matteo Ricci (Italy), Jean Joseph Marie Amiot (France) and others.

   和巴黎大学音乐学教授“皮卡尔”以及“XIII-21巴洛克乐队”合作，整理和演出了巴洛克时期的中国古典音乐作品，包括吴厉、利马窦（意）、钱德明（法）等。

He has performed in more than 30 major international art festivals and music festivals in Europe, America and Asia.

   曾在整个欧洲、美洲及亚洲的三十多个大型国际艺术节、音乐节参演。
