Baritone Falko Hönisch studied at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Stuttgart. He has sung as a house soloist in the opera houses of Kassel, Darmstadt and Eisenach; his operatic roles include Count Almaviva Le Nozze di Figaro, Papageno Die Zauberflöte, Wolfram von Eschenbach Tannhäuser, Gabriel von Eisenstein Die Fledermaus and Count Eberbach Der Wildschütz. His concert and art song repertoire ranges from Baroque to contemporary works.

He has won many international competitions, including Margie Weideman Song Prize and Best Performance Dutch Composition at the 47th International Vocal Competition ’s-Hertogenbosch (2008), 1st Prize at the Richard Strauss Competition Munich (2009), 3rd Prize at the 58th ARD International Singing Competition Munich (2009) and the Audience Prize at the 6th International Competition for Wagnerian Voices Karlsruhe (2009).
