Dutch Culture Centre

Part of World Expo 2010 Shanghai

For six months, the Dutch Culture Centre (DCC) in Shanghai will highlight Dutch culture by presenting a varied and rich programme to the Chinese and international public during the World Expo 2010. The Dutch Culture Centre will host several exhibitions, live performances and conferences. In the weeks to come this website will provide you with information on this programme. The centre will host seven big exhibitions, on diverse themes such as architecture, design and visual arts. These themes will have a fringe programme including master classes, lectures, readings and workshops. Besides exhibitions, several performances and conferences will be held discussing aspects of culture such as dance, music, theatre, literature, film, and games. The programme will be compiled in close cooperation with the Dutch cultural field, supported by funds, institutes and organisations. These organisations should be experienced in working with Chinese counterparts and have detailed plans for cultural activities in China. The organisers aim to closely involve Chinese partners in the programme and to create a dialogue with Chinese artists and organisations. Read more...
