Shalla is a Dutch pop/rock band formed in September 2009 in Utrecht, The Netherlands. The bands lineup is: Nerko Hadziarapovic on guitar, Deniz Dogan on saz (traditional Turkish instrument), Erik Veerman on bass guitar, Barry Meulenbroek on drums and Robbert van Dijk singing. Shalla’s music is best described as pop rock with influences from reggae and ethno. Shalla has an shiny edge, but also depth for the true listener. Shalla’s live performances are filled with energy, enthusiasm and positivism. Their China story started in 2008, when they performed at the Blue Melody Festival at the University of ZhengZhou.

They're joined by a dynamic Dutch rap group called: 'Zegevier' with a wide variety of musical expressions. Zegevier consists of the following rembers: Filster, Wickhop, CC, Mike Metal and Dj Wicked. In 2009 they performed in Tanghui Angel club in Beijing.

Besides the Dutch Culture Centre Shalla and Zegevier will also perform in Hangzhou, Beijing and Zhengzhou between 20th and 29th May 2010.
