During the World Expo in Shanghai the Dutch Culture Centre will present a special programme of animated short films from the Netherlands: Highlights of Dutch Animation 2007, 2008 & 2009.

The programme will spotlight some of the best recent Dutch short animated films, including the award winning films RED END AND THE SEEMINGLY SYMBIOTIC SOCIETY, PIVOT, VARIETY and NOTEBOOK.

Dutch animated films are constantly on the move and are extremely versatile in art forms and techniques. The film RED END AND THE SEEMINGLY SYMBIOTIC SOCIETY for example, is made in what might be the film standard of the future, 4k Digital Cinema, boasting a spectacular resolution. The fatal twist in PIVOT or the fascinating cut-outs of the fairylike DIORAMA are few of the many more exciting things to be discovered during this highly entertaining programme.

"Highlights of Dutch Animation 2007, 2008 & 2009" is organized with support of EYE Film Institute Netherlands.
