Drum n bass and jazz live concert
Electric Barbarian is the band that Floris Vermeulen initiated in 2000. For almost a decade now they perform their unique mix of high speed live drum n bass and jazz improvisation. The band performed in venues all over Europe, from Paris, Rome, Amsterdam to Zurich.

The strong pact the musicians of Electric Barbarian form doesn’t keep them from exploring unknown areas of the musical spectrum. They find a new challenge in collaborating with people from various musical backgrounds. In their show at Dutch Culture center, the band will present their project featuring the legendary poems of Langston Hughes; front man of ‘Harlem Renaissance’ in New York during the years of the great depression. Electric Barbarian will also be accompanied by a String Quartet for this project; creating a contemporary and fresh sound.

Due to the FIFA 2010 World Cup the performance on Saturday June 19th will take place at 17.30 hrs. right after the opening of Nether Land exhibition and just before the game Netherland - Japan.
