Dance is a spoken word theatre performance by one of the main Dutch theatre groups

Dance is a choreography about three lives. It is directed by Geert de Jong. Actress Geert de Jong made her debut as a director producing the performance Dance for Toneelgroep De Appel. The production is performed by Hubert Fermin, Judith Linssen and Gaby Milder.

The performance is about three characters escape their day-to-day life for a moment. Yet, a seemingly superficial experience will leave a lasting memory in their hearts. The performance Dance was inspired by the Japanese film from 1996 Shall we dance by Masayuki Suo. In February 2005, the American remake with Richard Gere and Jennifer Lopez was shown in the Dutch cinemas. The current Dance is a well-received performance and was performed many times in 2004, 2005 and 2006.
